Biography

Stanley Lee Thomas, 67, of Boyce, Virginia, died Saturday, July 17, 2010 in the Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Thomas was born September 4, 1924 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of George Lee an Clara Rebecca Ross Thomas.
He was retired from Clarke County Public schools where he worked as a custodian.
He was a former member of Paris United Methodist Church.
He married Carolyn Berry Thomas on October 30, 1964 in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Stephen Tyron Thomas and Joseph Lee Thomas both of Boyce, VA; a sister, Clara Denise Winfield and her husband, Larry of Stephens City, VA; special nephew, Darrell Grant; three aunts, Juanita Levegue of Winchester, VA, Georgia Turner of Paris, VA, and Lavenia Ross of Middletown, VA; and a host of cousins.
He is preceded in death by Charles W. Harris who Stanley considered as his father.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, VA with Pastor Delbert Hicks officiating. Burial will be in West View Cemetery, Upperville, VA.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A. M. – 12:00 Noon Thursday morning prior to the service at the funeral home.
